Photos are of EIR Lymphatics clients and are shared with their permission. Results vary and aren’t typical for everyone. Weight change depends on dose, eligibility, nutrition, activity and how consistently the plan is followed. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved.
Compounded Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are not FDA-approved and are not generic versions of any brand-name medication. They are prescribed only after a licensed provider reviews your health history and decides they’re appropriate for you.
Don’t use these medications if you or a family member has had medullary thyroid carcinoma or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2), if you’ve had a serious allergic reaction to them, or if you’re pregnant, breastfeeding or planning a pregnancy, unless your provider directs otherwise.
Possible serious side effects include inflammation of the pancreas, gallbladder problems, low blood sugar (especially with other diabetes medicines), kidney problems related to dehydration, changes in vision for people with diabetes, and serious allergic reactions. The most common side effects are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation and stomach pain.
Compounded vials must be measured carefully. Follow your provider’s dosing instructions exactly, tell them about every medication you take, and seek emergency care for severe stomach pain, trouble breathing or swelling of the face or throat.
Answers to the questions people ask most when they are considering a GLP-1 or peptide option.
Semaglutide acts on the GLP-1 receptor. Tirzepatide acts on both GIP and GLP-1 receptors. Which one is appropriate depends on your health history, other medications, and goals, so the choice is made with your provider at the consultation.
Microdose programs use lower doses, while any-dose programs cover whatever dose your provider prescribes as your plan progresses. Your provider will recommend which fits your goals and how you respond.
The most commonly reported are nausea, constipation, diarrhea, and reduced appetite. They tend to show up when starting or after a dose change. Your provider will explain what to watch for and what to report right away.
When appetite drops, it is easier to under-eat protein. The program includes protein-first nutrition guidance, and strength training is encouraged to help protect lean muscle.
Appetite signals can return when the medication is stopped. Your provider will talk through how long to stay on it, how to taper if appropriate, and the habits that make maintenance easier.
Tirzepatide may make oral contraceptives less effective when starting and after dose increases. If you could become pregnant, discuss contraception and pregnancy plans with your provider before starting.
